The Benefits of Slim Floor Tiles and Wall Tiles
Unlike regular tiles, which are typically around 11mm in thickness, slim floor tiles and wall tiles are only between 4-5mm in thickness. This makes them much lighter than regular tiles. Since they are lighter and hence much easier to handle and install, they make great wall tiles, which are more difficult to install compared to floor tiles.
Being much thinner than regular tiles, slim floor tiles can be installed on top of any flat surface floor covering. They are therefore ideal for rennovation purposes, especially since the cost of removal or demolition of existing floor coverings can be avoided.
Slim wall tiles can also be installed on top of existing wall coverings to create a completely new look, again without the costs of removing the existing covering, saving time and reducing the amount of noise and debris. Plus, being much thinner, means that slim wall tiles work well around door frames and can be applied on top of ventilated faces.
Slim tiles are also easy to cut, drill and handle, while still offering technical characteristics comparable to tiles of regular thickness. No special installation or maintenance is necessary and they are very easy to clean.
