Moody Blues VS Vibrant Hues: Which style are you?

Moody Blues VS Vibrant Hues: Which style are you?

Every colour has its own meaning and representation that creates a certain feeling or mood. In this post, we focus our attention on blue - a colour that is strongly associated with tranquillity and calmness. Blue is considered beneficial to the mind and body. Research has shown that it slows the human metabolism and produces a calming effect. However you’re styling your space, rich emerald greens and deep moody blues can work for many different trends in the home. See below for how blue tiles can work for you.

Metallica Polish Mosaic from Portobello

This beautiful mosaic is a perfect example of how blue tiles can create a calm, relaxing atmosphere. Its unique shape and definition create a focal point perfect for bathrooms wanting a spa-like feel or kitchens with an ocean view. The blue colour palette is subtle, with a white metallic finish to add a little sparkle to the room.

Alchimia from Quintessenza

The Alchimia Hexagon collection is a contemporary interpretation of traditional encaustic (cement tiles) with an eastern influence. This range combines beautiful pieces of art with a distressed, handmade look which is sophisticated yet simplistic. Available in 3 formats: Alchimia Elisir Hex, Alchimia Mix 1 and Alchimia Mix 2. Each of the formats has a subtle colour whilst still being a neutral palette.

Frammenti from Quintessenza

The Frammenti collection is an original interpretation of classic Venetian paving, created using a special glaze to give the look of modern terrazzo. The range is inspired by minimalism, light and pattern and creates a very contemporary and chic feel to a space. While the collection is also available in white and two shades of grey, the blue stands out with its cool, crisp feel that's very on-trend.

Artisan from Equipe

The Artisan range has a classic look that will stand the test of time. They portray an old-fashioned handmade look which is all about crafted characteristics such as variation, unevenness and imperfect edges. Produced with 90 different faces this subway tile has substantial variation from tile to tile resulting in a unique look each time. There are 10 colours available including Colonial Blue and Aqua (pictured) Click Here to view the full range.

Camp from Diesel Living with Iris Ceramica

Creating an Industrial look doesn't mean only using grey and black. Our latest range of Italian tiles from Diesel Living with Iris Ceramica creates a moody, urban feel in a space. Camp Blue (pictured below) is a new take on the classic subway. This 100x300 wall tile is available in 3 colours; Blue, Grey and Black and 3 finishes; Satin, Semi-Polish and Gloss. We recommend mixing up the finishes when laying to create an eye-catching and unique look. Click Here to view the range.

Corso from Vives Ceramica

The tranquillity and calmness of blue tile make them a perfect choice for bathroom walls and floors.
