Selecting ceramic, porcelain and mosaic tiles of the best quality and design. This September, Managing Director Peter Roberts and team headed to Italian tile fair, Cersaie. The expo runs between 23rd and 27th of September in Bologna and is considered as a leading platform for the ceramics, bathroom, building and furnishings industries. Large format - Tiles have been getting bigger and bigger each year, with 750x750 becoming a common size for many homes. Cersaie confirmed that the large format trend isn't going away any time soon. From Italgraniti to Atlas Concorde suppliers are saying bigger is better with sizes as large 160x320 and 260x120 cm.
Panda Marble - Marble look tiles just got bolder with intense veining and monochrome colour. We launched our first panda marble look tile earlier this year, Supreme from 41 Zero 42. It's bold, electric and certainly has wow factor. This look was everywhere, especially in the larger format size with collections from RAK, Imola, Atlas Concorde and Iris Ceramica.
Textured Stone - Textured stone or also known as, Ceppo Di Gre, is a look that has been used in Italy for over 2000 years. The main aesthetic feature is its harmonious combination of grey and white chunks which give a natural, yet decorative feel. We launched this look at the beginning of this year, with ranges, Lombarda, Kone Mix and Nord Smoke immediately becoming top sellers. We saw this look a lot at Cersaie, especially in large format sizes.
Quartz Marble - Marble is one of our best selling styles. It's a look that works in most environments and is available in many sizes and colours but it was the blues and greens, that got our attention at Cersaie. The detail and extreme variation are what sets these designs apart, replicating the look of a precious crystal. Atlas Concorde, Italgraniti, LEA, Imola and RAK all see this look to be big in 2020.
Tecnografica - We launched Tecnografica to Tile Space just days before we flew to Italy. Our range with Tecnografica is a collection of Italian Wallpaper Coverings available in 6 formats including H20 - These beautifully illustrated prints have been designed for the most humid environments including bathrooms and the internal part of showers. The first waterproof wallpaper to be launched in New Zealand. Click here to learn more.
Their theme at Cersaie followed Planet Earth, a stunning range of wallpaper and Decorative Panels inspired by the beauty of nature.
